How to Beat the Perfectionist Gremlins

Shaking it up!I’ve taken my monthly newsletter to a video format (deep breath). As I explain in my video, starting something new can sometimes be challenging and bring up alot of inner dialogue (mostly unsavory). What’s important to remember when approaching anything new, it will most likely be an uncomfortable process. I know, not exactly what…

What the Goat wants you to Know

The Year of the Goat promises to be very different than last year. 2014 was Year of the Wood Horse – lots of action, energy, ups and downs. And if you weren’t prepped and well strapped in, you surely felt that saddle. Ouch. This year’s goat energy is going to be friendlier although not without…

Traditional Chinese New Year Prep

We are officially 6 days away from Chinese New Year. Since today is Friday the 13th, I thought it would be appropriate to talk about rituals to help prepare for Chinese New Year. It’s not that I’m superstitious, but there’s lots that goes into preparing for Chinese New Year if you are a “real” Chinese person….

Happy Holidays, With a Side of Tough Love

You’ll often hear me refer to December as the perfect time of year to focus on yourself. It’s counterintuitive as you’re probably running around right now like a mad person, trying to get everything done before 2014 disappears. Or maybe you’ve already exhausted yourself and entered a catatonic state of denial. I’ve already visited both extremes this month. Hey, I’m human…

Dance Through The Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice. It’s cold and gray. Everyone seems kinda grumpy all the time. And it’s as contagious as last year’s flu. Oy. On December 21st, we will have only 9 hours and 32 minutes of daylight. For some reason, I don’t feel very Feng Shui-ey right now.  But this happens like clockwork every single December….

Start your new year off right

Did you know that each year is ruled by a particular animal in Chinese Astrology? Each of these animals has the ability to catapult you towards abundance and success if you know how to utilize them. Sometimes known as the Ram or Sheep, the Year of the Wood Goat is gearing up to be very special. Even though Chinese New Year…

Prepping Your Inner and Outer Homes for the Holidays

While the festive superficial bling is fun and endearing, what I really cherish is what’s underneath.

Festivities can bring up alot of mixed feelings and emotions.

Overwhelm, fatigue, the oh so familiar, “I-can’t-get-myself-off-the-couch-to-do-anything” feeling.

But being the optimist or activist as I am, I feel that this is the perfect time of year to face your “stuff” underneath and really see how things are working (or not) in your life.

Looking at and preparing your inner home especially as the year finishes out, will definitely help smoothly transition into the new year.

Taking Advantage of the Winter Season

Winter is officially here. During the arctic dip, I tend to want to hibernate and sip hot chocolate near a fireplace, leaving home chores to warmer, springier months. Totally normal.

But there’s a secret I want to share with you.

It is possible to work on Feng Shui home improvement even when it’s cold outside.

That’s because every season in Feng Shui has its advantages.

In Feng Shui, we honor and incorporate seasons into energetic evaluations. That’s because Feng Shui is all about mimicking the perfection of Nature and what could be more natural than the 4 Seasons?
