In real estate, we often talk about properties that are newly designed and finished, or older locations that need their deficiencies adjusted with Feng Shui remedies. But an interesting article I read about the other day touched on the topic of unfinished properties. What do I mean by unfinished? Well the first one mentioned was the Sagrada Familia’s Basilica in Barcelona. I visited Barth-alona (that’s my Catalan accent) many moons ago during an exhilarating year abroad and was fortunate enough to visit this beautiful landmark. The fantastic details and shadows danced in the sun, while the unique architecture had me mesmerized for hours. It was such an architectural accomplishment yet I was shocked to discover at the time that it was…incomplete.
Architect Antoni Gaudi took over this gargantuan project in 1884 just two years after its ground breaking. Only 8 of the proposed 18 towers (a fantastic Feng Shui number!) have been built. This project has suffered many stop-and-gos since Gaudi’s death in 1926. Construction is still in the works with a completion date estimated for 2026, oh some 100 years after the architect’s death. Perhaps a great Feng Shui remedy would be to take a look at the section of the bagua that addresses Completion? Just an idea.
