Can you use “Spring Clean” as a verb? Well I am because yesterday, I Spring Cleaned my internal body in a yoga class. It’s not as weird as it sounds. In Feng Shui, Spring is about movement and upward energy. This is often the time we choose to detox since it’s following nature’s natural flow of energy. Many think that Feng Shui only applies to your home or office. What most people don’t know is that your physical body is mirroring what is going on in your physical space and vice versa. That’s why it’s so important to keep the energies, everywhere moving and healthy.
There are certain poses and twists we can do on our mat as well as off that can help us unblock things when needed. Check out this site for some Spring opening poses. If you are not this flexible or just are not feeling energized, doing something as simple as twisting at your waist can help. Just remember to keep breathing because without breath, there is no movement and then what would be the point?
