We’re still floating in-between, not quite Snake energy and not yet Horse year. It’s that time where you can feel something shifting ever so subtly but surely.
Last week was Part 1 of using the final stretch of Snake energy and letting go of a mindset that no longer serves you. How did that go? You still have until February 16!
Today, we move into Part 2, a different kind of shedding: releasing a habit that may be slowly draining your energy and that you haven’t even noticed was draining your energy. It’s snakey that way, I mean, sneaky ;).
Snake energy is very strategic and patient, comfortable with stillness and waiting for the right moment. Our agile friend conserves its energy and waits until the timing feels right, which is exactly why Snake energy was so supportive this past year.
As we move closer to Horse energy, your habits built around slowing down or waiting too long may not work as well anymore, because Horse energy needs more momentum and more movement.
So this week’s habit release begins by looking at your daily or weekly rhythm and asking yourself one very simple question.
What is the ONE habit you do automatically that drains you, slows you down or keeps you stuck?
Once again, I’ll use myself as an example. This week, I’m choosing to pause one familiar habit: saying yes to friends and filling up my schedule until I’m exhausted. Seriously, as I’m writing this, two messages just came in asking me to do something this weekend. I’m not succumbing to FoMo!
Once you choose what that one habit is, all you have to do is pause it for one week.
The Horse will already start thanking you, since its energy is all about movement and momentum. When you release what’s slowing you down, you naturally create space for Horse energy to move through.
So keep using the remaining Snake energy deliberately, extracting every last bit of wisdom to help you move more easefully into the Horse year. Pause one habit this week. Just one.
