We’re still technically in the Year of the Snake, but you can probably feel the shift already gearing up for the Year of the Fire Horse.

Every year, the energy starts to change about 6 – 8 weeks before the actual Lunar New Year, and we are very much in that in-between energy right now. Not fully Snake, not yet Horse.

But let’s not get anxious just yet, as many do. Let’s generously allow ourselves the last moments with our friend the Wood Snake, who gave us strategy this year, moved a little slower and took things in before taking strong action. 

There are still 38 days for you to take advantage of this slower, strategic Snake energy to make room for the more energetic Fire Horse, so don’t panic.

As your system is probably still feeling hungover from the holidays, I’m going to dedicate the next few weeks to help you compassionately and easily say goodbye to the Wood Snake and show you how to use its final energy to make the most of the Horse year.

This is not the moment for a dramatic reset or a full overhaul.

The next few weeks will be focused on using the Snake’s beautiful example of shedding. Starting today, we will be shedding one intentional thing at a time.

Today we will focus on MINDSET.

Why mindset? Because that’s where everything starts. In your mind, with your thoughts.

Ask yourself: What is the ONE THING in your mindset that you know, and you do know, needs to be let go of, shed, said hasta-la-vista to, because it will block the fast-moving energy of the Horse?

So you get the gist, here are some mindset beliefs that I’m shedding:

  1. I always need to be producing
  2. There’s only one way to do things: plan wayyyy ahead
  3. I don’t have time to do the things I love

And you don’t need to replace it with a better thought yet. Just notice it, thank it for what it once did for you, and let it go.

The new mindset will arrive on its own when the Horse energy picks up. This is how we gently usher out the Snake – with recognition and gratitude. Now go to it! You have a week before our next shedding exercise.
