If you had two full weeks of free time to do whatever you wanted, what would you do?

Your answer says a lot, and through a Feng Shui lens it reveals even more.

Most people think Feng Shui is only about physical space, the furniture, the colors, the way your home flows. But that is only part of the story. Space is also the energy you carry and your internal world: your feelings, emotions, thoughts, energy levels, focus, and dreams.

These inner spaces shape what you do each day, how you choose what to do, and how you prioritize your time. It is also about your environment, meaning the people you spend time with or choose not to, and the situations you step into. Do you feel more alive in nature, in a busy café, or alone at home?

This is why even the simplest question can become a mirror, showing you what is really going on inside. If you can’t easily picture how you would spend that time, you might be living with what I call “energetic clutter,” days so full there is no space left for what truly fuels you.

Right now, summer is the perfect time to explore this without guilt. In Feng Shui, summer is the season of expansion, a time to open your heart, mind, body, and soul, and fill yourself with energy, serenity, warmth, and goodness. This is the season to say yes to what lights you up, to lean into experiences that feed you, and to let yourself be fully present for them.

If you had that time right now, what would you choose? For me, with 12 days off, I decided to spend it somewhere new because unfamiliar surroundings can activate a different part of your brain and nervous system when you remain present, grounded, and intentional.

I’m giving myself a mix of space and pleasure, learning something new like the ukulele, journaling, napping, cooking, strolling, spending time at the beach, calling friends. No agenda, just following my energy and what lights me up.

Your version might be completely different. The key is to notice what truly fuels you, and to create space for it without apology. When you give yourself that space, you start to feel how your energy flows best. This is exactly what my Chinese astrology confirms for me, and it can do the same for you when you understand your own energetic blueprint.

The real goal is to bring that feeling of spaciousness into everyday life so you do not need a vacation to feel spacious, energized, and clear. When you find that internal flow, you naturally have more clarity and energy to create shifts in your outer environment, whether that means refreshing your home, spending more time with certain people, or seeking out experiences that inspire you.

This is the part most people miss about Feng Shui. It is not just about moving a couch or adding a lucky bamboo. It is about aligning your inner and outer worlds so they work together to support you. When you change your space, any space, you change your life, and it all starts with noticing what kind of space you have been living in.

Because I am practicing what I teach, I am giving myself even more space, unapologetically. This means there will be no Feng Shui Friday next week. I love you guys, but use that time to notice your own spaces and how they are making you feel.

If this stirred something in you and you want more of that flow in your everyday life, let’s talk. Reach out and I will share a few ways we can start at whatever pace feels right for you.
