We are officially in the Year of the Fire Horse – woohoo! I have to tell you though, I have already been living this energy for the past month.

Leaving Paris, landing in my beloved NYC, preparing and delivering corporate presentations, conducting Feng Shui consultations and Closet Style & Alignment sessions, celebrating Lunar New Year and still having some kind of personal life? Whoa. The Horse energy has already turned up the speed, visibility and opportunity in a very real way.

I am very grateful to live such a full life – and again apologies to friends and clients who I did not get to see this visit. It seems like no matter how long I stay, there is never quite enough time to feel both productive and balanced… which is exactly the life lesson I am always teaching, right?

I truly love giving corporate presentations. My events were dynamic, interactive and fun, and chock full of Feng Shui and Lunar New Year of the Horse wisdom. But something that really struck me during these events was the feedback I witnessed.

You know me, I love getting very specific and measurable with you, my Feng Shui peeps so that you don’t 1) feel overwhelmed and 2) actually know if the changes you’re making are working. With this in mind, one of the fundamental tips I gave to my willing participants was to name their priorities for the year. When I asked my participants to narrow it down to one, max two priorities, it was like asking them to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.

How do YOU feel when I ask you to choose your priorities for this year? Does it evoke excitement, fear, or total shutdown?

Don’t worry, I will never leave you high and dry, so here is what I gently suggest: For this Fire Horse year, choose just 1 personal priority and 1 professional priority ONLY.

Because once you decide what those two very specific goals are, your environment (space, habits, routines, colleagues, family) can finally support you in getting there.

Always, using myself as an example (because I also need accountability as I practice what I preach!), here are my 2 goals for the Fire Horse year:

  1. Susan’s personal goal: continue working on what the word relationship means to me. How do I want to show up for myself, for my loved ones and for my future partner — yes, I am getting myself ready for a new partnership 😉 I hide nothing here right? All reals to the real lol.
  2. Susan’s professional goal: I am working on ONE work project that I’m super excited about, but terrified. But as I’m just focusing on this 1 thing this year, I am giving myself all the room to feel the feels. I will share what this project is very soon.

I hope my examples clarify what I’m asking you to do to take advantage of the powerful, yet potentially draining Horse year. The Horse does not choose direction for you. You choose the direction. The Horse simply amplifies whatever is already in motion. So if you are scattered now, your year has the potential to get even more scattered.

I am cognizant that this can potentially tilt you into “Feng Shui Paranoia,” but that is not my intention here. You have time. You know what to do. The steps are simple and manageable. You can do this! Just take the first step and carve out a little time to think about this important exercise, your main intentions for the Horse year. Because once you name those two priorities, the next question becomes, who and what will actually support that direction this year?

And as always, I’m here if you need me.

This is something we explore deeply in my AstroStrategy Experience, where we look not only at your personal energy, but also at which parts of your life are being naturally supported by the Fire Horse year, so you are not pushing a rock uphill but actually working with energy that is already behind you. You will walk away from the session with your 2 priorities clearly defined and a concrete strategy to move toward them using your energetic blueprint. What are you waiting for?

But for now, start here. The Horse is moving fast, whether you are ready or not.
