I felt my heart racing for no reason and I was worried.

Sometimes I would lay awake at night worrying about everything and nothing. Stress was a constant in my life.

Those are some of my memories of living in New York City.

Although I loved my NYC life, I worked seven days a week, 12+ hours a day. I didn’t love being so busy but I had alot to do, and alot of people who needed me.

Overwhelmed, my relationship to myself and others, as well as my physical and emotional health, were deteriorating. The city’s relentless hustle had taken its toll.

My whole life I had danced to the NYC hustle. But then. My energy shifted and NYC’s energy was no longer aligned with mine.

I had to listen to my energy and body. So, I did. And I’ve never looked back.

As a lifelong Francophile, I moved to Paris to start fresh, both in business and in life. It wasn’t as easy as I thought.

Going from 1 million miles an hour to about 90 miles an hour is a real adjustment!

Some Parisians wonder why I don’t “flaner” more. According to Cambridge dictionary, Flaner means “to stroll around, dawdle, drift, lounge, moon about/around, potter”

I don’t flaner much, no, because – I have work to do here, people!

I’ve got Feng Shui love and wisdom to share, stressed and overwhelmed people to help, all the while, experimenting and playing with the balance in my own life.

I shared a video this week about a heart monitoring test I did (spoiler alert: I stripped!) as I began to nurture my nervous system back to health. My heart health is thankfully fine but the doctor did emphasize the importance of stress management.

I really was looking to Europe for a slower, fuller pace of life. What I discovered did not disappoint. People here take time to live life. They take time to cook, see friends, ponder life over leisurely meals, see shows, visit museums and get this, they clean their own homes! Not even being that intentional about it, Parisians attend to their energy and the energy around them. It’s a way of life.

Paris’ energy aligns with mine. I don’t know if that will change in the future but for the moment, I’m present.

When was the last time you REALLY checked in with your health and energy? Are there signs you’ve been ignoring? Again, I’m not advocating that you move but it’s important to not sleepwalk through life.

My clients know our work is spiritual, profound and also methodical and measured. YOU tell energy where to go and then you measure to see if it’s working.

Here’s your takeaway from today:

Every day, measure your energy levels from 0 (exhausted) to 10 (energizer bunny) and your stress levels from 0 (calm Yoda) to 10 (anxious Tutter).

You know where I’m going with this. If your numbers are not on the side of the scale you’d like, get in touch and we’ll get you back to balance.

Without the right energy flow, nothing goes.
