There’s something about being Asian, especially Chinese, that creates some anticipation around this time of year.
I was on the phone with my parents the other day and the conversation went something like this:
Parents: So what’s your plan this year?
Me: What do you mean?
Parents: Aiyah! Chinese New Year is coming up. You need to have a plan.
Me: (half rolling my eyes) Of course I have a Chinese New year plan (Asian children of Asian parent unite here). I’m a Feng Shui consultant, remember?
Parents: Ok so what’s the plan?
Me: Why don’t we start by making Chinese New Year’s dinner plans (slight food distraction always works)
Whew. I dodged that bullet yet again.
But in their parental wisdom, they did bring up the important question that comes up for all of us at some point during the year:
What’s the plan for the year? (not a rhetorical question)
What do you want to accomplish before 2015 is over? (not a rhetorical question)
So here’s my plan that can help your plan – Chinese Astrology. Boom.
Didn’t know that Chinese Astrology had anything to do with Feng Shui? Actually, astrology is a huge part of Feng Shui.
If you’ve been following any of my work or philosophies, you know that I’m a big proponent of aligning your outer and inner worlds.
Chinese astrology does just that. For each one of us, there is a specific external energy that each Chinese New Year brings in (outer world) which affects each one of us (inner world).
It’s like a cheat sheet to help guide you for what’s in store for the year. What you should be focusing your energy on for the year. It’s that easy.
Stay tuned for more info in the next couple of posts where I will share with you how you can prepare both your outer and inner worlds for the Year of the Goat.
Susan Chan is the best!! I just had my “Year of the Wood Goat” astrology reading with her, and all I can say is “WOW”!!!!
I feel so prepared for the year ahead, with a deep understanding of what to focus my energies on, where to pull back and be cautious, and how to feel my best in the coming months. She’s a rock star!! Thank you so much, Susan. I can’t wait to do another reading with you!!
I highly recommend a reading for everyone — it was AWESOME.
